1. RE: Cruiser killing Rokh? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
You're wasting your time. The Rokh is the single worst battleship in the game for fighting smaller ships alone. You'll never stack enough tracking mods for them to make a difference--you could fill every slot with tracking gear and it would not be...

2. Machariel - DPS versus falloff - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
The Mach is now substantially better than any other BS for running most--maybe all--L4s. The warp speed bonus is killer, especially if you drop a warp speed rig or two on top of that. The TE nerf is irrelevant for PvE; it just means you fit an ac...

3. The Abaddon - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
T2 tachyons don't fit neatly on a fleet Abaddon. Either use megabeams or meta 4 tachyons; either produces a decent enough fit. I think you end up needing a fitting implant for the meta tachyons, though; the fitting requirements on those are kinda ...

4. what is the plural of "orthrus"? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Latin words without meaningful or attested plurals in Latin (e.g. "chimera" or "virus") are normally pluralized according to English convention ("chimeras" or "viruses") when pluralized in English. It's probably "Orthruses".

5. PVP ships and reasons why they are good or bad - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Anyway, a srs post: Since tiericide it would be a shorter list to cover which ships aren't good, since most of the revised versions are good for something, even if it's not obvious what it is. I am sort of a fan of ridiculous trolling killmails,...

11. Falloff now = Max range - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
It's displayed differently now; the mechanics are the same. What's shown under "falloff" is the actual range at which you hit 1x falloff; i.e. your optimal is included.

You're trying to use the slicer in an interceptor's role. It's not good at that. Interceptors have bonuses to tackle range, tackle mod cap use, and sig radius while MWDing. Your Slicer might be as fast as an inty, but you have a vastly larger sig ...

Math isn't the problem. Doing the math correctly will lead you to the right numbers, but Whitehound is--as always--bad at math. A 30% sig reduction is equivalent to a (1/(1-0.3)) or a 42.9% speed increase. Whitey, try to remember it this way--a 1...
